A bit about me…

Do you remember your first time? I do.
I was sitting in my office at work when a colleague I had become friends with walked in. I pointed out that we both had Thursday off and asked if she was free. She replied yes and so I made my suggestion…do you fancy going to Pompeii for the day? We live in England and Pompeii is in Italy, but her reply was ‘Yeah, cool, I’ll go get my card and we can sort flights now’.
So, whilst she got her card, I went into our RTW documents (don’t worry I was a manager) to get our passport numbers and we did it. We booked it and a few days later we flew out to Naples and spent an amazing day in Pompeii. This was without a doubt one of the most exciting and impulsive things I have done, and I recommend it to everyone! Of course, it does help if you have a friend who is a laidback enabler looking for adventure.
Until this I had no idea, or rather had never comprehended, how accessible the rest of the world is these days. The world got smaller thanks to the internet, but people are less inclined to get out and experience it. They feel they can get the same results from sitting at home looking at a screen.
Now we know this is not the case.
The way I see it you have two options. You can travel the world yourself OR you can make use of more local attractions. The question is how do you convince people that this is a better option? That studying somebody else’s interpretation of what’s interesting will be lacking.
One of my news year resolutions this year was to have a day in London on my own. For a lot of people this is everyday life, for a country bumpkin like me it’s a big deal. So, I decided I was going to spend the day at the British Museum. I love Greek history, and the museum contains the Parthenon Marbles. I know ancient history is not everyone’s cup of tea, so it was the perfect opportunity to achieve both goals.
When I entered the room with the marbles, I was star struck, I had to sit down because I couldn’t believe I was there! It also inspired a later trip with a friend (yes it was the Pompeii enabler) to Athens to see the Parthenon itself.
I want everyone to experience a moment like this. I want everyone to be able to experience something they thought was out of reach.
So how am I going to achieve this? I am going to work with people like you who can offer these experiences. I am going to put you in touch with the people who need these experiences. If you allow me to help:
1. I will save you time and resources within your current organisation.
2. I will increase leads and sales.
3. I will help develop a consistent brand message.
4. I will provide a customer focused perspective.
I can’t hide the passion I have for helping people experience the world and that comes across in my writing. I also use demographic psychology and SEO tech to do this. I do NOT allow AI to do any writing for me; it lacks the human touch and is less engaging. I will NOT be dishonest in any way, if you are offering a quality product there is no need to ‘trick’ people into using it.
I mentioned above that I was a manger, and I still am. I’ve been in retail and sales management for over 20 years. For a short time around this, I also ran a franchise for a company called Fright Nights. We hosted overnight paranormal investigations all over the country. My region was North Wales, but I was always happy to help anywhere with a bit of history and some spooky stories. Side note – I ran this franchise with my Pompeii enabler too; no idea is a bad idea to this woman!
This is where I gained my initial experience with copywriting. I realised the effect a well written piece can have. It’s the difference between a sold-out event and you standing in the dark with three people.
So that’s me and what I want to achieve by working with you. Please bookmark me if this sounds like something that might be useful to you and reach out if you have any good ghost stories!.
